Terms of service.

Last revised 01 May 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Puresign signature atelier. By using the atelier you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The atelier

Puresign provides an electronic signature service for the daylight practitioner. The atelier is operated by Puresign Inc., a company registered in the State of Washington with its principal office at 500 Yale Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.

2. Account

You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials of your account. The atelier is not liable for losses arising from the disclosure of your credentials to third parties.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the atelier for any unlawful purpose, nor to upload documents containing malware, illicit content or material that infringes third-party rights.

4. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement upon thirty (30) days written notice. Your specimens remain in the archive for ten years after termination, in accordance with our retention schedule.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the atelier's aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

6.1 Consumer protection

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any consumer-protection right guaranteed by applicable Washington consumer protection laws or any equivalent federal statute. Washington residents may contact the Office of the Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, with concerns regarding these terms.

6.2 Dispute resolution

Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation within sixty (60) days may, at either party's election, be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in King County, Washington. The parties each waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration.

7. Email communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails from Puresign at the address you provide. By ticking the marketing consent box during signup, you additionally consent to receive recurring promotional and product emails from Puresign at that address.

Purpose of emails

Emails may include: account verification links, password-reset links, letter status alerts (opened, signed, stamped, witnessed), security notifications, service announcements and — only with your explicit consent — occasional product and marketing letters.

Email frequency

Frequency varies with account activity. You may receive several transactional emails per letter you participate in; a typical active practitioner receives between 4 and 12 transactional emails per month. Marketing emails, if opted in, are limited to no more than 2 per month.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Puresign does not charge for emails; any data or storage charges from your email provider apply at their standard rates. Frequency and pricing of provider services are not controlled by Puresign.

Unsubscribe & help

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any email — your address will be removed from the marketing register within 24 hours. For help, reply to any email with HELP in the subject line, or write to contact@puresign.net, or call 1-206-339-7120. Transactional emails (verification, security, letter alerts) cannot be turned off while your account is active.

Eligibility

Marketing consent is not a condition of opening an account or pressing a specimen. Recipients must be 18 years or older.
